Senior Lecturer in English

Mr. Manowar Islam is a dedicated and experienced educator serving as a Lecturer in English at St. Philip’s High School and College, Dinajpur. He joined the institution in 2014 and has since been actively contributing to the academic and co-curricular development of students.

He holds a B.A. (Honours) and M.A. in English, along with B.Ed. and M.Ed. degrees, both with First Class results.

With extensive experience in teaching English at the secondary and higher secondary levels, Mr. Islam is particularly interested in English language teaching, grammar, vocabulary development, communication skills, academic writing, and public speaking. He is actively involved in preparing students for SSC and HSC examinations and in developing effective learning materials and classroom activities.

Beyond his regular teaching responsibilities, he takes an active role in the institution's language, cultural, environmental, and co-curricular activities. He has contributed to organising debates, poem recitation, vocabulary competitions, extempore speech, ecology-related programmes, and other student-centred activities.

As an educator, Mr. Islam believes that education should develop not only academic competence but also confidence, creativity, character, leadership, and a sense of responsibility. He is committed to supporting students in discovering their potential and becoming confident, responsible, and lifelong learners.
